Checking your employees’ backgrounds cost effectively

There are several reasons why an organization must check the background of an applicant before he/she becomes an employee. Since it’s impossible to do such a check manually, software such as Credential Agent is used for the employee background check to be complied with. This type of employee background screening is adopted by the medical and healthcare industry such as hospitals and ambulatory care centers, therapy companies, pharmaceutical companies and biotech companies.

The various reasons for implementing the employee background check maybe to rule out a criminal background, carrying out a check of credit background or to ensure that the applicant does not have an adverse drug background. The applicant’s educational qualification needs verification and his commercial driver’s license similarly needs to be checked.

Other necessary checks/verifications towards effective employee background screening include employment verification, professional license verification and reference checking. The National Criminal Index Plus is checked and the US Patriot Act Check is also complied with. Social Security Number Trace and Federal Civil Checks are some of the other checks that may need implementation.
